I’m really bad at blogging. I was hoping that I’ve gotten better, but I haven’t. Oh, well nothing for it but to try again and there’s even news:

Cesar and I have released the first of (at least) two patches adding support for Micrsoft’s C/C++ compiler (cl) to distcc. This first patch adds a framework for adding other compilers to distcc. Now, Cesar and I will be doing the bothersome task of sorting through cl’s plethora of options and figuring out which ones need to filtered out before being sent to a volunteer (Martin’s overly open source word for slave :) ) computer. I just realized that a previous patch attempting a similar task might be of some help.

I’m also very proud to say that it looks like my patch for a JEvents bug has been accepted and put into SVN! JEvents is a really nice Event Calendar for Joomla and I’m really happy to help them out! Despite not being acknowledged on their forge site it seems unlikely Geraint added a fix one day after being reminded of my patch by me that is exactly like my patch.
